Anyone who has run a long drip line knows the problem: the plants near the faucet are soaked and the ones at the far end go thirsty. The emitters in this kit are pressure compensated, so they hold a steadier flow from the first stake to the last. Pair that with a battery timer and quick-connect fittings, and a raised bed or a row of pots looks after itself through the hot months.
Mount the timer on the faucet and connect the 2-way connector.
Lay the tubing along the bed edge, a few inches from the stems.
Cut, insert emitters on their stakes and close each run with an end plug.
Set the timer program and watch one full cycle before you walk away.
